Meet Caroline Wartman
Hello, and welcome to An Turas Counseling. My name is Caroline Wartman, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (#61210906) in Washington State.
In my practice, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. I believe this is key to fostering healing and transformation. Drawing on a psychodynamic approach, I integrate various modalities including attachment theory, object relations, existential therapy, systems theory, intersectionality, mindfulness, and somatic therapy to tailor our sessions to your unique needs.
I have extensive training in working with trauma, including EMDR, which can be a powerful tool for processing past experiences and stuck beliefs about ourselves, so that memories are remembered, rather than re-experienced.
Embarking on the journey of therapy requires courage. It is important to me to provide a safe, compassionate, and inclusive space for clients. I invite you to reach out so we can explore if I am a good fit for you in this next season of your journey. I look forward to the opportunity of working together.
The Journey by Mary Oliver
One day you finally knew
What you had to do, and began,
Though the voices around you
Kept shouting
Their bad advice‚
Though the whole house
Began to tremble
And you felt the old tug
At your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
Each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
Though the wind pried
With its stiff fingers
At the very foundations‚
Though their melancholy
Was terrible.
It was already late
Enough, and a wild night,
And the road full of fallen
Branches and stones.
But little by little,
As you left their voices behind,
The stars began to burn
Through the sheets of clouds,
And there was a new voice,
Which you slowly
Recognized as your own,
That kept you company
As you strode deeper and deeper
Into the world,
Determined to do
The only thing you could do‚
Determined to save
The only life you could save.
